Man Utd's van der Sar praised by Everton's Howard

Manchester United's number one goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has been lauded by his Everton counterpart Tim Howard.

Ahead of the meeting between the two clubs in the English Premier League this weekend, USA stopper Howard was full of superlatives for 39-year old van der Sar who has been at the top of his game for at least a decade.

"He's performed admirably for his club and country for such a long time and he seems to get better and stay at a very high level," Howard told Sky Sports. "That's not easy to do in that position and at a club like Manchester United.

"I'm nine years away from that and it's difficult now because of the pressures and the work that you put in, so when you get to that age, he's done very well."
