David De Gea's performances this season have drawn comparisons to two of Louis van Gaal's best goalkeepers.
The Spanish gloveman was again at his best for Manchester United to deny Newcastle United at St James' Park in his side's 1-0 win which prompted some serious words of praise from van Gaal.
"David De Gea, this year, is unbelievable," he told MUTV.
"In my career I have a lot of good goalkeepers, for example Edwin van der Sar was one of my goalkeepers and [Victor] Valdes also with Barcelona, but De Gea is having a great season.
Of the win over the Magpies, van Gaal added: "Newcastle is a difficult ground to win at so I am very pleased.
"They have won here against the top clubs so I am very happy."
