Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov believes Wayne Rooney would be a resounding success if he were to join the North London club.
The 27-year old Manchester United forward continues to be linked with a summer move to the Emirates Stadium and Usmanov says he would back the proposed transfer.
"He is a great player. If he comes it would be a big success for Arsenal and for Rooney also," he said.
