Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is in doubt for England's World Cup Round of 16 match-up with Germany.
The 24-year old striker had to be substituted in Wednesday night's 1-0 win over Slovenia because of an ankle problem that has been persistent since he injured it in April and it is unknown just how bad it actually is, although manager Fabio Capello was very hopeful.
"I substituted Wayne because his ankle was not so good. He had some problems. I changed the team, substituted him, but I'm really happy with the performance of the team," the Italian said.
"I don't know how he is. I have to wait on the doctor, but I think he will be fine on Sunday. I changed him. I substituted him."
