South Korea captain Park Ji-Sung will make the call on his international future once the Asian Cup concludes.
The Manchester United star midfielder indicated prior to the tournament that it may be his last with the Taeguk Warriors but has revealed he will not announce his final decision until after the side has competed with Uzbekistan in the third-place match on Friday.
"I will talk about whether I will retire from the national team after the Asian Cup is over," Park told Yonhap news agency.
Park made his 100th international appearance in the semi-final against Japan which South Korea lost 3-0 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in extra-time.
