Recently released Manchester United striker Michael Owen is on the verge of making the move to Stoke City.
Reports suggest that the injury-prone 32-year old could be snapped up by the Potters next month with manager Tony Pulis showing plenty of interest.
It is believed that Everton are also keen on Owen but the fact that the former England international has his Manor House Stables horseracing complex just 30 miles from Stoke may play a part in the move.
