Manchester United striker Michael Owen is determined to keep knocking in the goals to enhance his chances of making England's World Cup squad.
The former Liverpool star netted a hat-trick for the Red Devils in their 3-1 win over Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Tuesday night and plans to keep that type of form going as South Africa 2010 rapidly approaches.
"As everyone knows, scoring goals is probably the hardest thing to do in the game," Owen said.
"But given the amount of chances you get, it's easier here than at most clubs because of the quality you are playing alongside."
Owen was extremely humble after his three-goal performance, preferring to praise his teammates and vowed to let his goalscoring do the talking for him.
"I've never liked talking about myself too much," he added.
"I always prefer to talk about the team. You can't score a hat-trick without the team playing really well.
"I'm enjoying playing for United. There are only a few teams that you can play in and expect to get lots of chances and this is one of them. But scoring them is a different matter."
