Manchester United manager David Moyes was remaining coy regarding his club and a shock bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.
The Welshman is the subject of heavy interest from Real Madrid, with a move this week looking likely, although Spurs did reveal that a second club had come forward with an offer.
With suggestions that club could be United, Moyes was quizzed on the matter after his side drew 0-0 with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday night.
"I said at the start that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players and we'll always be looking to try and improve the team," he told Sky Sports.
"The owners have given me every opportunity to get who I want so we'll continue to look for those players. It's been tough in this window but we're always looking at the best players."
