Ryan Giggs believes the nature of Arsenal's beginning to the season has them deservedly sitting on top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners are currently sit four points clear of the rest of the pack after winning nine of their opening 12 fixtures and Manchester United veteran Giggs suggests the summit is where they should rightfully be at this point of the campaign.
Giggs also admitted that United had begun in a less than impressive fashion to find themselves sixth on the table, seven points in arrears of Arsenal.
"It has been a disappointing start," the Welshman told talkSPORT of United's indifferent beginning following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.
"The last ten games have not been too bad - I think we were unbeaten in eight or nine games - but yesterday was a game we should be winning.
"Only Arsenal - who are up there and deserve to be up there - have shown consistent form. It's been a crazy season, we need to hang in there when we're not playing at our brilliant best and get a run together.
"The team that does that will have a great chance of winning league."
