Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand cannot understand why English clubs without a manager do not approach Glenn Hoddle.
The Tottenham great has been out of the coaching game since 2006 but Ferdinand believes he would be a great person to lead a club who are struggling for direction.
Ferdinand posed the following question on Twitter:
Baffles me Why owners of manager less clubs are not picking up the phone and at least talking to Hoddle??? He is a Great coach #innovative — Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) June 5, 2013
Hoddle's first managerial job was with Swindon Town as player/coach back in 1991 before he took the same role with Chelsea in 1993. Since then he has managed England, Southampton Spurs and Wolves.
