Cristiano Ronaldo has labelled former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand as the best central defender in England.
The Real Madrid and Portugal star was asked at a Castrol EDGE function whether he agrees with the decision of England boss Roy Hodgson to omit Ferdinand - preferring to go with John Terry - from the Euro2012 squad and he responded favourably for the Red Devils man.
"Terry is a fantastic player too but they are both good and must be in the national team. Rio, especially, because Rio is the best centre-back in England.""You cannot compare. Rio is Rio and Terry is Terry," Ronaldo said.
