Man Utd's Di Maria cost more than we have ever spent - Burnley's Dyche

Sean Dyche indicated that it is tricky for Burnley to match it with the best teams in the Premier League.

The Clarets run off a very small budget as they do not have the resources to spend copious amounts of money on world-class stars.

In their third match of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign in August last year, Burnley took on Manchester United at Turf Moor in what was Angel Di Maria's debut for the Red Devils which Dyche reflected on ahead of Wednesday night's clash with a Liverpool line-up full of top quality performers.

"We have played against so many good players this season," said the Burnley boss.

"Angel Di Maria made his debut against us after being brought in for £60million - more than this club's ever spent in its whole history, on one player."
