Real Madrid do not necessarily need to purchase Javier Hernandez permanently according to Guillem Balague.
Sky Sports' Spanish football expert was responding to a question regarding the future of the Manchester United striker on the program 'Revista de la Liga' when he said the following.
"With Chicharito, Real Madrid didn't use a clause that they had to keep him, and it's not a priority to keep him either," said Balague.
Chicharito joined Real on a season-long loan last summer with the view to a permanent deal and just a week or so ago it seemed as though the European champions may look to sign the Mexico international permanently.
However, they missed the exclusivity date that was inserted into Chicharito's contract and it appears as if he will now return to Old Trafford at the culmination of the current campaign.
