Man Utd to rush back Rooney for Wigan trip

Manchester United may rush back Wayne Rooney for Sunday's Premiership title decider at Wigan.

The Manchester Evening News says Rooney's break to get him fit for the Champions League final in Moscow could now be shelved with United facing a final-day bid for the title.

Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson had declared he would attempt to have the England striker fit for the last Premier League match with Wigan on Sunday.

Though Fergie had looked upon a possible comeback at Wigan, United were not prepared to rush him back and risk the possibility of a Champions League final KO.

Had the title been secured prior to the JJB date, then Rooney was likely to be left out.

But Chelsea have forced the championship race to the last 90 minutes.
