Man Utd retract interest in Juventus left-back Alex Sandro

Manchester United are not interested in pursuing a deal for Juventus left back Alex Sandro, according the Manchester Evening News.

United are linked with signing a left back this summer. And the MEN does confirm that the Reds would try to sign a player in that position should the right deal become available.

But Sandro would be an expensive undertaking and United would rather spend those funds on the centre-back position.

They have already completed deals for Diogo Dalot and Fred this summer.

If United do not sign a left back this summer, it would be good news for Luke Shaw, who is still hoping that he can revive his career at the club.

Shaw has not been in manager Jose Mourinho's good graces the past couple of seasons. He is often criticised for his performances, and spends long spells of time on the bench or not even in the matchday squad.
