Manchester United see Crewe whizkid Nick Powell as a direct replacement for departing Paul Pogba.

United have been watching Crewe's goalscoring midfielder Powell for some weeks.

The 18-year-old has scored 15 times for Crewe this season as the Railwaymen bid for League Two promotion and is being tipped as a future star.

Powell could fill the gap left by Pogba, who is now leaving to join Juventus.
