Further reports linking Real Madrid with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo have again been dismissed by Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Reports in Spain on Tuesday claimed that Ronaldo and his agent had come to a secret agreement with Real president Ramon Calderon to join the Spanish giants next season.

"I said to you some months ago that we expect January to be one of those months," said Ferguson on Sky Sports News.

"We're not fazed by that now anyway. We have to accept it happens."
