Nottingham Forest have failed with a loan bid for Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha.

The People says Manchester United boss David Moyes has been holding back the winger this season because he feels the former Crystal Palace star is not yet ready for the Premier League champions.

But Forest were still given a hands-off warning when they made an approach to take Zaha, 20, on loan, as United are keen to get him up to speed themselves.

Moyes believes the intensity of United training sessions alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie will be more beneficial for Zaha than a spell back in the Championship.
