Chelsea defender Kenny Strickland is chasing a long-term deal with the Blues.

The former Manchester United centre-half is tied to Chelsea until June and has been an ever-present in the reserve-team this season.

He told the official Chelsea magazine: "I went to Austria having been offered a three-month contract with the club and when I came back they thought I'd done well enough to get an extension for the season."
