Manchester United refuse to print the name of Eric Cantona on it's new shirts.
The Daily Mail reports the club's official website describes the new shirt as 'featuring the return of the black collar, a popular and evocative symbol ever since Eric Cantona wore it upturned in the 1990s.'
Such marketing has led many nostalgic United supporters to ask for Cantona's name to be printed on the back of their shirt, only to be told by Megastore staff that the club do not own the image rights to Cantona's name and his name is therefore out of bounds.
Other past United heroes David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo are also the proprietors of their own image rights, meaning that the printing of their names is also forbidden at the Megastore.
