Manchester United have been encouraged in their pursuit of Udinese star Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez remains a top target for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson despite the crowded field bidding to sign him.

The Chile star, 22, would prefer to play in Spain but Barca have yet to agree a fee and on Sunday night signed another right-sided midfielder, Kiko Femenia from Hercules.
