Former Manchester United defender Zeki Fryers is happy with his move to Standard Liege.

Fryers joined Standard last week after seeing a free transfer to Tottenham collapse.

"The level of the team is very high and the crowd is fantastic. Passionate, just like at Old Trafford, although the stadium of Manchester is a lot bigger," said Fryers of his first impressions of Standard.

"I'm glad I was able to join Standard, a big club in Europe."
