Tuttosport says United are facing competition from Juventus and Real Madrid for the 17-year-old prodigy.
Donnarumma shot to prominence last season for the Serie A giants and already has two caps for Italy.
He is seen as the long-term successor to the legendary Gianluigi Buffon and Tuttosport say the European giants and gearing up for what could be their one chance to sign him.

He has already made 49 Serie A appearances for AC after overtaking Diego Lopez and Christian Abbiati in the pecking order in Milan.
