Manchester United are being linked with a shock move for Juventus target Rodrigo Bentancur.

Calciomercato.com says the talented playmaker was expected to complete a move to the Serie A giants. But the transfer appears to have hit the buffers.

The 19-year-old reportedly missed his medical with the Old Lady last month.

Boca president Daniel Angelici confirmed earlier this season that United were in the hunt.

Angelici told Radio Marca Sevilla: "He has a very big future in the big game.

"Several clubs have already shown an interest in buying him like Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United and AC Milan."
