Man Utd ready for West Ham after 'clear-the-air' talk - van Persie

Robin van Persie has revealed that the Manchester United squad held 'clear-the-air' talks following the weekend's shock loss to Leicester City.

The Red Devils led the Premier League returnees 3-1 in the second half at King Power Stadium before the Foxes overran them 5-3 in a stunning comeback which heaped more misery on Louis van Gaal's star-studded playing group.

As United look to get their campaign back on track against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Saturday, van Persie spoke of the crisis talks held and indicated that they will help bond the team on a very important weekend for the famous club.

"It's the right way forward as you have to speak about the good things you do but also in the areas you can improve, which is what we did the next day," van Persie told MUTV.

"Everyone came in and we had a long meeting about the game. It was a really good meeting as everyone spoke up and shared their feelings.

"We've had a good few sessions now and everyone's feeling very positive now ahead of the game against West Ham."
