Manchester United are ready to hand Patrice Evra a bumper new contract. The Daily Mail says Evra is set to follow Wayne Rooney and sign a new £20million contract at Manchester United.
Evra's current deal, worth £70,000 a week, runs out in 2012 and United will table a four-year, £100,000-a-week agreement for the French defender.
La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with Evra but the new terms will keep him at Old Trafford until after his 33rd birthday.
