Manchester United have cooled talk of a deal for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Matic, 28, could be on his way out of Chelsea this summer as the Blues eye Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

He has been linked with United, but the Telegraph says no such deal has taken place and they say United have dismissed the claims.

It's not immediately obvious where Matic would fit into Mourinho's line-up at Old Trafford with Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini all vying for minutes in midfield.
