Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is watching Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane. The Daily Express says Ferguson has been tracking the youngster since his Lens days, but missed out on his signature in the summer of 2011 when Zinedine Zidane convinced Varane to sign for the Spanish giants instead.
However, according to reports in Spain the Red Devils are going head to head with Ligue 1 outfit PSG in an attempt to take the classy stopper away from the Bernabeu.
Varane's current contract is set to run until the summer of 2017.
