Man Utd prove too classy for MLS All-Stars

English Premier League powerhouse Manchester United proved too good for the MLS All-Star XI, winning 5-2 at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

70,728 fans turned up to see the might of the Red Devils overcome the MLS' best with United youngster Federico Macheda getting the show on the road with two goals within the first 12 minutes.

The All-Stars hit back just after the hour-mark through Houston Dynamo's Brian Ching before United swiftly made it 4-1 with goals to Darron Gibson (70th minute) and Tom Cleverley (73rd).

On debut for United, Mexico international Javier Hernandez added their fifth with six minutes remaining before Toronto FC's Dwayne De Rosario grabbed a consolation goal for the All-Stars.
