Man Utd preparing to offload Bristol City target Lingard

Manchester United are set to sell Jesse Lingard to Bristol City.

According to The Sun, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will be offloaded by United with Championship new boys the Robins prepared to spend £2.5million.

The England U21 international featured for the Red Devils in their recent pre-season tour of the USA and even scored in the 3-1 win over Barcelona but Louis van Gaal is willing to cut ties with the Warrington-born talent.

Lingard joined United's academy in 2009 before he was added to the senior ranks in 2012. Since then he has spent time on loan with Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Derby County.
