Manchester United are preparing a bid for Benfica fullback Alejandro Grimaldo.
United boss Jose Mourinho led a successful mission to the Lisbon club on Wednesday, with the Red Devils winning their Champions League game 1-0.
The Special One is now considering a move for Benfica left-back Grimaldo, who shone for the Primeira Liga champs as a goalkeeping mistake gifted Marcus Rashford United's winner.
Mourinho is now understood to have ordered United scouts to keep ex-Barcelona starlet Grimaldo, 22, under regular observation, says The Sun.
The defender has won two Spain Under-21 caps, plus 19 more at various youth levels, and is on the brink of the senior national squad.
Left-back has been a problem position at Old Trafford this season, with injuries to Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw.
