Manchester United are prepared to play a waiting game with Inter Milan for Wesley Sneijder.
The Manchester Evening News says United are prepared to sweat it out over Sneijder and make one final late swoop to land the Dutch playmaker.
The summer-long saga has been a roller-coaster with both Inter Milan and the Reds denying interest in selling or buying.
The Italians have dug their heels in yet again and president Massimo Moratti says: "Sneijder is going nowhere."
However, Sneijder is still said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford and there have been suggestions the £35m-rated 27-year-old would be prepared to drop his wage demands to make the transfer possible.
Meanwhile, United's coffers have been boosted by a £46.5m windfall from UEFA's Champions League prize and TV pot.
They earned even more from their Euro exploits last season than their Wembley final conquerors Barcelona due to United's small-screen popularity.
