Manchester United are planning to include Anderson in a bid for Porto attacker James Rodriguez.

The Manchester Evening News says Porto's exciting Colombian winger ticks all the boxes for Sir Alex Ferguson as he plans ahead to revamp the Reds next season and inject more flair and pace into his side.

United could partially fund the transfer fee by offering back Brazilian midfielder Anderson to his old club.

The 24-year-old has been at Old Trafford since signing for £18m from Porto in 2007.
