Manchester United players want Ryan Giggs to stay.
The Daily Star Sunday says the United squad are desperate for him to remain involved in a key role with the first team.
Giggs was assistant manager under Louis van Gaal, who was sacked after last weekend's FA Cup Final win over Crystal Palace – and many players hoped he would succeed the Dutchman.
Giggs is highly respected by United's players and while Jose Mourinho is happy for him to stay, it could be in a more junior role.
Mourinho's trusted lieutenant Rui Faria is lined up to be assistant manager.
