Danny Drinkwater hopes Manchester United teammate Ryan Giggs rejects the Wales job.
Drinkwater, currently on-loan at Cardiff City, said in his current form Giggs should keep playing and go in search of even more honours with United this season.
"The thing is Ryan's still a great player so I'm not sure if he would consider retirement now," Drinkwater told the South Wales Echo.
"When he is playing as well as he still is would he consider it now? I think his recent form means he should keep playing.
"But when he does retire I think he will take the management route just because of the experience he has gained.
"And he is a proud Welshman so I see no reason why that should not be with Wales."
