Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini was furious with ref Martin Atkinson after his dismissal at Manchester City.
The Mirror says Fellaini had to be restrained from confronting referee Martin Atkinson in his dressing room, following his red-card shame in the Manchester derby.
He had to be dragged away by stewards and team-mates after trying to demand an explanation from Atkinson at the final whistle.
Fellaini, 29 , picked up a yellow card in Thursday's 0-0 draw for an 84th-minute trip on City striker Sergio Aguero – and received a straight red just 16 seconds later for headbutting the Argentine after fouling him again.
An eyewitness in the tunnel said: “Fellaini was in tears and stamping his feet.
“He was screaming 'I want to know why, I want to know why' as he stormed towards the referee's dressing room. He was fortunate that some stewards managed to restrain him before team-mates ushered him back into United's dressing room."
Fellaini will now miss the next three games.
