Manchester United have fitted beds for the players at their Carrington training base.

The cots have been laid out at the club's Carrington training base as the players take part in two training sessions a day to regain peak fitness for the new term.

A United source told The Sun: "It may sound like sleepy-time at a nursery but the beds serve a real purpose.

"Going from nothing to two training sessions a day leaves even professional stars knackered."
