Man Utd players admit complacency threatening their season

Manchester United's players conceded they've allowed complacency to threaten their season.

Northern Ireland international Jonny Evans said: "Maybe it's our own fault, maybe we've become a bit complacent.

"We haven't been defending for our lives as well as we should have but you have stages like that. It's something we have to address."

Nemanja Vidic was tipped to be Footballer of the Year until the Serb centre-back imploded in last month's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Vidic, 27, admitted: "Maybe you could say we switched off before that game.

"Maybe we did because we knew we had the games in hand and a big gap in points. We didn't think we were relaxed but maybe we were.

"I know many teams have to play many games - we certainly have done that - and I just hope we will be stronger in the next few matches."
