Manchester United player-coach Ryan Giggs is preparing to turn 40.
United's player-coach hits that milestone birthday on November 29.
And Giggs said: "I'm trying to keep it quiet but when I was 30 I didn't think I'd still be playing in ten years' time.
"No, not a chance. You don't look too far ahead but I never thought I'd still be playing now. But I am and I'm enjoying it.
"Hopefully, like I have done over the last couple of years, I'll try to contribute as much as I can. It is getting less but I feel as fit as I did a few years ago.
"It helps that I'm playing every couple of weeks - it's not like I'm playing Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday like I used to do.
"I have time to recover and prepare, so I feel just as good as I did three or four years ago."
