Manchester United are planning a January offer for Celtic wing-back Emiliano Izaguirre.
The Scottish Sun says reports in his homeland claim the Honduran star's stunning start to his career at Parkhead has attracted the English big guns.
Izaguirre, 24, only moved to the Hoops in the summer but has quickly settled to become one of Neil Lennon's biggest hits.
Patrice Evra is first-choice left back at Old Trafford but boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to add some strength-in-depth to the position.
And United could offer 21-year-old Belgian stopper Ritchie de Laet in a part-exchange deal when the transfer window opens on January 1.
Villa boss Gerard Houllier has also been looking at Izaguirre since replacing former Parkhead manager Martin O'Neill.
