Manchester United are ready to launch a compo case against Tottenham for Zeki Fryers.
The Mirror says United are ready to claim they turned down a £5m offer from Spurs for Fryers last summer.
Fryers, 20, is at the centre of a row between United and Spurs with Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson insisting the Premier League should investigate.
United value Fryers at £6m while Spurs have not disclosed officially how much they have paid Standard Liege.
The fact they claim they turned down £5m is designed to show how highly they rate him.
