Manchester United have begun a ground breaking global partnership with American company 20th Century Fox, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The agreement means that Manchester United will promote blockbuster films such as the soon to be released Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day at Old Trafford. The promoted films will be advertised on digital perimeter boards and post-match interview backdrops.
England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney celebrated the new venture by posing with Marvel character Deadpool on Friday. A host of Manchester players will be required to help showcase new films.
"Both Manchester United and 20th Century Fox are leaders within our respective industries and we are delighted to be able to work with them in introducing each other to new audiences, creating unique content, such as the players' recent encounter with Deadpool," Richard Arnold, Manchester United's managing director, told the club's official website.
