Man Utd to parade Premier League crown at home of Man City owners

Manchester United are taking their Premier League crown to Abu Dhabi - the home of the owners of Manchester City.

The People says the stop over at the Blues' second home is part of a 48,000-mile worldwide jaunt to celebrate their record-breaking 19th title. It will take in destinations including India and Vietnam - but eyebrows may be raised when they descend on Abu Dhabi in March.

The Blues mega-rich owner Sheikh Mansour is a member of the Middle East state's royal family, and City's top brass have made the area a priority for growth.

They have opened a City merchandise store there - the only one outside Manchester - and in January they launched their first international School of Football at the Zayed Sports City.

United say the tour is a way of "sharing the historic achievement with our 333 million fans".

They have already taken the trophy to Latin America and parts of Asia and will kick off the latest trip in Delhi.
