Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is pushing to land Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
The Sun says the United boss has shown interest in £10m Palermo centre-half Kjaer and he is seen as a possible replacement for Nemanja Vidic.
Danish international Kjaer is regarded as one of the top defenders in Serie A.
The youngster has already met Ferguson this year at Denmark's Hall of Fame sports awards.
