Manchester United pair Phil Bardsley and Lee Martin are expected to be send away on-loan after their disappointing performances in this week's Carling Cup humiliation by Coventry City.

The Mirror says fullback Bardsley and winger Martin were last night turfed into the second string against Bolton at Northwich. It may also signal the end of the line for the duo.

Bardsley, loaned to Rangers and Aston Villa last season, and Martin, also at Ibrox and Stoke, could now be sent away again.
