Manchester United have opened talks with Penarol for young fullback Guillermo Varela.
The 20 year-old Uruguayan had end-of-season trials at United earlier this month and impressed coaching staff.
TMW says United are now negotiating a fee with Penarol for Varela, but must move fast.
Udinese and Fiorentina are scheduled to meet with representatives of Varela in the coming days, though the youngster's priority is United.
