Manchester United aren't wavering in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.
The Daily Express says with Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic leaving a huge hole to fill the back line may well be Louis van Gaal's first priority this summer.
United will now turn their attentions to Germany defender Hummels.
Any move will have to wait until after the World Cup.
Hummels recently indicated a move to English football appealed to him, but that a switch may have to wait 12 months.
"I never think about that or talk about it because it is something that isn't important for me right now," Hummels said.
"Maybe it will be some day, but I don't expect it to be like that this summer."
