Manchester United are confident over their deal for Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones.
The Sun says United are still confident they will sign defender Jones - despite Liverpool's late bid to hijack the move.
The champions have been at war with Jones' current club Blackburn over the price on his head.
And Kop boss Kenny Dalglish tried to take advantage of the chaos by lodging a cheeky £22million bid for the 19-year-old on Saturday.
The Rovers star had set his heart on joining the Red Devils, though, after agreeing personal terms and having a medical last Wednesday.
His move stalled over the fee, with United pointing to a £16million release clause in Jones' contract.
