Man Utd No2 Round: First months here very smooth

Manchester United assistant manager Steve Round has enjoyed his first months with the club.

Round followed manager David Moyes from Everton.

"I am really enjoying it. I am loving every day. I have done a few transitions in the past moving from club to club and job to job so you learn how to settle in and build relationships. Here it has been very, very smooth," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"It helps when you come into a successful organisation that you advertise you are not here to change the world.

"It has been very successful and you want to keep the continuity but put a little bit of your own stamp on it. It helps you gain respect.

"It is important you recognise what has been done so well and keep that going.

"You go out and do the training sessions that you believe in and you coach the team how you believe they need to be coached. That will be a bit different because every coach is different. But you are working to the manager's philosophy and, to be fair, David's is very similar to Sir Alex's."
