Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz was at Bolton Wanderers last night to watch their 1-1 draw with UEFA Cup opponents Sporting Lisbon.

Among the players in Queiroz's sights was midfielder Bruno Pereirinha, who admitted afterwards: "It was a difficult game, with a style which we are not used to, with balls in the air. This caused us difficulties, but I must emphasize that we stayed strong and united."

Queiroz was keen to see how Pereirinha, 20, handled the physical approach of Bolton.
